KABUL): Fifteen people were killed and 20 others wounded in three different traffic accidents in Nangarhar, Parwan and Khost provinces on Thursday, officials said.
Five passengers were killed and 10 others injured on Thursday morning when a Torkham-bound container hit a van in Momand Dara district, said the deputy head of the traffic department.
According to a local TV reporter, the dead included a resident of Do Bella village, Abdur Rauf, his wife, mother and son.
In central Parwan province, two people were killed and three others injured in an accident on the Kabul-Mazar highway. The Qarabagh district chief, Khwaja Muhammad Hanif Siddiqui, said a car veered off the highway as a result of rash driving near the Naha Pula area.
Elsewhere, seven people, including a woman and a child, were killed in truck-van collision in the Nadir Shah Kot district on the Khost-Gardez highway.
