JALALABAD (PAN): Three policemen were wounded in a roadside bombing in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Monday, officials said.
The explosion took place at 9am near a police checkpoint in the Angur Bagh area of Jalalabad, the governor’s spokesman, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, told Pajhwok Afghan News. Two policemen were injured and taken to hospital, Abdulzai added.
However, an official in the area said on condition of anonymity that a police official and two policemen were wounded.
Two of the victims were in critical condition, while a third was slightly wounded, the official added. No one has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
