JALALABAD (PAN): Warm clothes, schoolbags and other material were distributed to orphanage students in eastern Nangarhar province on Friday, officials said.
Arab charity El-Nadwa Al-Alamia Lilshbab Al-Islami distributed clothes, shoes, socks and jackets worth 3.5 million afghanis ($72,254) to deserving students.
Provincial head of the charity, Haji Faizanullah Mukhlis, told Pajhwok Afghan News the aid was given to orphanage students in Jalalabad and Rodat, Batikot, Ghanikhel and Momand Dara districts.
Labour Social Affairs Director Abdul Hakim Sherzad thanked the organisation and said the ministry was ready for all-out support to the orphanages.
