KANDAHAR (PAN and Livestock launched the distribution of improved wheat seeds and chemical fertiliser to about 1,200 farmers in the Daman district of southern Kandahar province.
Each grower would receive 50 kilograms of improved seeds and 150 kilograms of chemical fertiliser along with 2,000 afghanis ($41.44), Director of Agriculture Eng. Ahmad Shah Roshan said.
Resident Haji Saraj Ahmad said since the number of farmers was high, more assistance was needed.
