FARAH CITY (PAN): International troops killed three suspected insurgents and injured a fourth while planting roadside bombs in the southwestern province of Farah, officials said on Friday.
The airstrike took place late on Thursday night in the Bazarak Dehzak area of Bala Baluk district, police officer Maj. Abdul Baseer told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Bodies of the dead and wounded rebels were taken to the police headquarters in the province, Farah City, he said. A rocket launcher, a machine gun, two Kalashnikovs and some explosives were recovered from the militants.
A resident of the area, Abdul Hanan, said he heard explosions in the neighbourhood late at night. However, he had no information about casualties.
