KABUL): President Hamid Karzai on Sunday congratulated the Afghan cricket team on winning the Asian Cricket Council Twenty-20 Cup.
Speaking over the telephone to Afghan cricketers on Sunday evening, he said the Afghans were proud of them and congratulated the whole squad on their success.
A statement from his office quoted Karzai as saying the people of Afghanistan supported their national team and wished them more triumphs in future events.
