KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan National Olympic Committee, Physical Education and Sports Department says the country’s under-18 and under-20 national handball teams have departed for Bangladesh to participate in the South Asian Challenge Cup.
In a statement, the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education and Sports said each squad consists of 14 players.
The teams are accompanied by four coaches, one delegation member, and one referee.
According to the department, the tournament will be hosted by Bangladesh from June 10 to 14, with teams from 10 South Asian countries taking part.
The Afghan under-20 team will play its opening match against Bangladesh on June 10, while the under-18 team will begin its campaign against the Maldives.
