Child playing with mine killed, 2 injured

JALALABAD (PAN): A child was killed and two others, all from the same family, were injured when a mine they were playing with went off in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Tuesday.

The seven years old was killed in the blast that occurred in Khogyani district on Monday night, the district chief, Muhammad Hassan, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The injured were shifted to a district hospital, he added.

Public Health Director Dr. Baaz Muhammad Sherzad confirmed receiving an injured child at the civil hospital. He said the 10 years old child is in a stable condition.
