KABUL-led troops and an Afghan official said on Sunday.
The narcotics were recovered during overnight operations by Afghan and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldiers in the Spin Boldak and Punjwai districts, a statement from the alliance said.
More than10 tonnes of hashish seized in the Spin Boldak border district and was destroyed at the site, the statement said, adding a man was detained in connection with the drugs.
The second cache, containing approximately 136 kilograms of marijuana, was found in the Panjwai district. Up to 450 kg hashish was captured and burnt during a third operation in the Daman district of the province.
The governor’s spokesman, Zalmay Ayubi, confirmed the seizure of the drugs in the three districts. However, he gave no further details of the counternarcotics operations.
