JALALABAD (PAN‘s lawless tribal region of Khyber, officials said on Tuesday.
The opium recovered from a car going from Laghman province to Nangarhar, the commander of border police, Brig. Gen. Aminullah Amarkhel, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
As a result of the driver’s interrogation, the drug dealer was detained, he said, adding the detainee had confessed to smuggling the opium to Pakistan for processing it into heroin.
Since, March. 22, about 13 tonnes of drugs have been seized in the province.
