PUL-I-ALAM (PAN) contractor in the central Logar province on Tuesday, an official said.
The ISAF service provider was abducted in the Hesarak area on the outskirts of the provincial capital, Pul-i-Alam, the intelligence department head, Col. Mohammad Jan Abid, told Pajhwok Afghan New.
Zabihullah, the captive, was working on different projects awarded by the alliance, the provincial spy chief said, believing the contractor had been kidnapped for ransom.
“I saw some masked people, who disembarked the contractor from his vehicle and took him to an unknown location,” eyewitness Ali Ahmad said.
No one has so far asserted responsibility for the incident. Last week, crimes investigation branch officials arrested three policemen on charges of kidnapping children.
