NEW DELHI PAN Air Force and Indian Air Force teams at the New Willington Camp in New Delhi.
Also present at the opening ceremony were Col. Masud Satankzai, the Afghan defence attaché, and Basheer Ahmed Shareer, cultural counselor at the Afghan embassy here.
The teams will play a series of three matches, including the one played Monday which was won by the Indian Air Force (3-0). The other two matches are scheduled for February 29 and March 1.
IAF is hosting the Afghanistan Air Force football team for its period of stay in India from February 25 March 3. Such sports exchanges with friendly countries not only enhance bilateral goodwill but also forge stronger ties, said Naresh Verma.
