MAZAR-I-SHARIF (PAN appeared in an entry test at the Balkh University in Mazar-i-Sharif on Friday.
Chancellor Prof. Mukamil Alakozai told Pajhwok Afghan News a total of 2,700 students, 45percent of them females, sat the exam.
One candidate Zikarullah Malang said: “I had filled out the prescribed form for the test a month ago but my name was not on the list of candidates.”
Another examinee, Zabihullah, who graduated from the teacher training college in Kunduz province, said he had come to Mazar-i-Sharif along with three friends.
They faced a serious accommodation problem in the city, the candidate complained. If the test had been arranged in his home city, more students from Kunduz would have participated in it, he believed.
