A press release issued from the official representative of Russian Counternarcotics Agency to Afghanistan said the reports were baseless, as Russia had never conducted any operation with or without the support of any third country inside sovereign Afghanistan in the past and it had no intention for such operations in the future.
The conduct of anti-narcotics operations inside Afghanistan was the responsibility of the Kabul government, the statement added.
