<p>CHAGHCHARAN (<a href="/en/pan" class="glossify-link">PAN</a> province but official figures on the number of roads cleared so far appears contradicting.</p>

<p>Provincial public works director Muhammad Iqbal told reporters that snow-hit roads in Thiora, Charsada, Tholak and Pasaband districts had been cleared.</p>
<p>But acting police chief Col. Abdul Rashid Bashir rejected Iqbal’s statement, saying roads in several districts remained closed, as contractors were unable to remove the snow.</p>
<p>A Pajhwok reporter in the province said roads in Band Bayand area, where roads of other six districts passed through, were chocked by heavy snowfall.</p>
<p>Roads between Thiora, Shahrak, Tholak, Saghar and Pasaband districts remained blocked, he added.</p>
<p>Col. Bashir said roads in Dolina district were opened with joint efforts of police and contractors three days ago, but roads in Charsada district remained closed.</p>
