3,000 Jawzjan women complete various courses

SHIBERGHAN (PAN in northern Jawzjan province, an official said on Tuesday. 

More than 200 training courses were arranged for poor women during the year, women’s affairs director Najiba Quraishi told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Funded by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the courses included carpet-weaving, dressmaking, computer training, embroidery, bakery and others, she said.

She said the courses were aimed at making poor women able to earn a living for their families.
