4 militants, 2 civilians killed in Kapisa clash

MAHMOOD RAQI (PAN fighters and two civilians were killed, while another seven militants and two civilians wounded during a clash between insurgents and Afghan forces.

In an interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, the governor’s spokesman, Asadullah Hamidi, said the joint two-day operation by Afghan and foreign soldiers, was conducted in Tagab district of the province.

The four militants were killed and another seven wounded on the final day of the offensive, he said, adding that it was unclear who was involved in the killing of the civilians.

District chief, Abdul Hakim Akhundzada also confirmed the killing of Taliban fighters and said some weapons were also recovered from the insurgents.
