JALALABAD (PAN): Two suicide bombers were killed and three militants wounded on Tuesday, when their bombs-laden car exploded in the eastern province of Nangarhar, an official said on Tuesday.
The bombers were heading to Jalalabad at about 8:30 am when the blast happened on Torkham-Jalalabad highway, near a clinic of Momandara district, said the administrative chief of the town.
Noor Agha Kamran told Pajhwok Afghan News that two bombers died and three militants were wounded. The injured were taken to Ghanikhel district hospital.
A doctor on duty at the hospital Rahman Gul said four injured people were brought to the hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, witness Zia-ur-Rahman said one of the victims could be a bomber, while the others possibly civilians. The car was destroyed in the heavy explosion.
