GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Seven civilians were wounded on Tuesday morning when militants fired missiles on Ghazni City, the provincial capital of southern Ghazni province, officials said.
Taliban militants fired several rockets from the direction of Khak-i-Ghariban area at around 7 am and two of them landed in Kala Sabz area of Ghazni City, injuring five people, deputy police chief Col. Mohammad Husain told Pajhwok Afghan News.Some of the rockets landed in barren areas, he said.
A hospital employee was among the seven injured who were brought to Ghazni Civil Hospital, said head of the hospital, Dr. Baz Mohammad Himmat.
The wounded were in stable condition and were discharged from the hospital after treatment, he added.
“I was opening my shop when I heard sounds of two rockets land near my shop. Four people were injured,” said witness Mahmmadullah from the Kala Sabz area.
After the rocket attack, police took the injured people to the hospital, he added.
