3 killed as car plunges into Panjshir river

PARAKH (PAN): Three people were killed and a fourth was injured when a car plunged into a river in the Paryano district of central Panjshir province on Monday, an official said.

The incident took place in the Arif area before noon, the town’s administrative head, Eid Mohammad Tariq, told Pajhwok Afghan News.  

All the victims belonged to Panjshir province, he said, blaming the accident on reckless driving.

The youth coming from Kabul wanted to visit the province for an excursion. The injured boy was evacuated to an emergency hospital and his condition is said to be stable, the official said.
