KABUL): President Hamid Karzai on Monday appointed Ahmad Faisal Begzad as the new governor of northwestern Faryab province.
Without giving details, the Cabinet Secretariat announced the appointment of Begzad, a former colonel. He replaces Abdul Haq Shafaq, who held the position for four years and a half.
