MEHMOOD RAQI (PAN): Three policemen were killed when their vehicle struck a roadside in the Tagab district of central Kapisa province on Friday, an official said.
The police were on a patrol when their vehicle hit a mine in the Korghal area at around 3pm, the district police chief Sher Shah Yousafzai told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The incident is being investigated, he said, adding the police vehicle was comprehensively damaged in the blast.
The Taliban have immediately claimed responsibility for the bomb attack, with their spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid putting the death toll at four.
