JALALABAD (PAN) soldiers were injured following a roadside bombing in the eastern province of Laghman, an official said on Monday.
The incident took place on Sunday night when a bomb — placed beneath a small bridge — hit an ISAF armoured vehicle in the Mohammad Ali Kas area of Qarghaee district on Kabul-Jalalabad highway, the highway police commander, said.
Col. Shakoor Khan told Pajhwok Afghan News the foreign troops cordoned off the area after the explosion.
A military vehicle was destroyed in the blast, area resident Shahabuddin said, adding he had no idea about casualties.
The ISAF media office in the eastern zone confirmed that four of its soldiers were hurt in the blast.
But Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed three foreign troops were killed and as many others wounded in the bomb attack.
