KABUL, officials said on Saturday.
Three civilians were killed and a fourth injured on Friday evening as a result of a clash in the Dani area of Zazai Maidan district in southeastern Khost province, the district chief, Younus Zadran, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The fire exchange was sparked by a verbal clash between two families, he said, adding police had launched a hunt for the killers.
All the victims were from the same family, according to a resident of the area, Syedullah, who said the villagers tried intervene but failed to prevent the clash.
Separately, four Afghan soldiers were killed and a fifth injured when their vehicle turned turtle in the Solang area on the outskirts of Mahmud Raqi, the capital of central Kapisa province.
The governor’s spokesman, Qais Qadari, said the 201st Selab Military Corps soldiers were travelling to the provincial council office. The injured solider was taken to the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.
