KUNDUZ CITY (PAN-designated governor for northern Kunduz province was detained along with two fighters during an operation by Afghan forces, an official said on Saturday.
Mullah Abdul Rahman and two of his guards were arrested during the overnight raid on a house in the Ghondai
village of Chardara district, the provincial police spokesman said.
Syed Sarwar Hussaini, speaking to Pajhwok Afghan News, accused the detained insurgent commander of conducting terrorist attacks and planting roadside bombs in the district.
