KABUL (PAN): A district police chief killed in a clash in Dand district of southern Kandahar province, officials said.

Lt. Col. Rahmatullah, the Dand district police chief, was killed during a clash with Taliban in the Zanakhan area of southern Kandahar province.

The district’s administrative head, Ahmadullah Nazak, said three Taliban fighters were also killed in the clash that erupted after Taliban tried to storm the district headquarters.
