ZARANJ (PAN): Two suspects were detained with 45 kilograms of heroin near the Iranian border in the southwestern province of Nimroz, an official said on Saturday.
The drugs were seized on Friday evening from a car traveling from Zaranj to Abresham Bridge, the provincial police chief, Col. Mohammad Musa Rasuli, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Two tonnes of drugs, including 1,600 kg of opium, had been seized during two weeks of counternarcotics operations in the province, he said.
