TIRINKOT (PAN): Five people were killed when a bomb tied to a motorcycle went off in Tirinkot city, the capital of central Uruzgan province on Monday, said an official.
Uruzgan Police Chief Spokesman Farid Ail told Pajhwok Afghan News that the blast happened on Monday afternoon in front of the National Directorate of Security’s office.
The bomber was targeting a military vehicle, according to the official.
Three civilians and two national army officials were killed, and several others wounded in the incident, he added.
Tirinkot Civil Hospital Director Dr Nadir confirmed receiving the dead body of a woman and eight other wounded victims.
