SHIBERGHAN (PAN): The Human Rights Commission of northern Jawzjan province on Thursday condemned the killing of a young girl after she was sexually abused and urged authorities to mete out harsh punishment for the criminals, officials said.
Two days ago, an eight year old child was killed after she was sexually molested by unknown people in Daulatabad district of Jawzjan, said head of Jawzjan Civil Hospital Dr. Mirwais Amini.
The chairman of the commission, Maghfirat Samimi, strongly condemned the crime against an innocent child and said:”I ask security and judicial departments to take urgent steps so it will serve as an example to others.”
“If the criminals were not identified and arrested, such crimes would only repeat in the future,” added Amini.
The provincial police chief, Brig. Gen. Abdul Aziz Ghairat, said after the victim’s parents appealed, they have detained two suspects for interrogation.
