KABUL’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday, a media report said.
The explosion happened inside a house in the Jandri village of the Orakzai tribal region near the Afghanistan border, DawnNews said, adding three people were wounded in the incident.
Local political administration officials suspect residents of the house were constructing an improvised explosive device (IED) that went off prematurely.
Elsewhere in the restive northwest, a blast occurred near the Awami National Party (ANP) office in Charsadda. The explosion caused no casualties.
The blast came days after the party convened an all parties’ conference on developing a consensus on counter-insurgency measures before the general elections in the country.
