KHOST CITY (PAN) Two children were killed and four others wounded in a roadside bombing in the southeastern province of Khost, officials said on Wednesday.
The explosion took place in the Yaqubi bazaar of Sabari district around noon when an Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier was passing the area.
Zar Moeed Mukhlis, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News two children of a family were killed and four others wounded in the blast. They were evacuated to Khost Civil Hospital.
Meanwhile, the 203rd Thunder Military Corps confirmed the incident, saying that ANA soldiers suffered casualties in the explosion.
Separately, a fighter was killed during a fire exchange after the Taliban attacked an ANA checkpoint in the Awm area of Nadar Shah Kot district of the province.
