2 Afghan children die in Swabi roof-collapse

ISLAMABAD (PAN‘s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and eastern Punjab provinces, reports said on Tuesday.

The two children died when the roof of a house collapsed in Swabi. Another six people sustained injuries in the incident that occured in the Gandaf refugee camp in the morning following three days of heavy rains, an Afghan refugee at the camp, Mohammad Nadar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The dead children were sons of an Afghan refugee, Sherzada, who’s wife was among six other family members wounded in the roof-collapse. The injured were taken to nearby hospital and their condition is stated be stable, he added.

In a similar incident in Mardan, a woman was killed and two children were wounded. Three people were buried alive when they were hit by an avalanche in Buner. Another three people were killed in a similar incident in Shangla.

In Peshawar, two children died in another incident of roof collapse whereas a man and his son were killed in a similar occurrence in Okara in the Punjab province.
