US Secretary of State John Kerry and Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar also agreed on supporting the Afghan government’s efforts at stabilizing the country.
In a telephonic conversation, Kerry and Khar vowed to work together to further expand multi-faceted relations between the two countries.
According to the Associated Press of Pakistan news agency, the secretary of state accepted Khar’s invitation to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
A day earlier, the secretary phoned President Asif Ali Zardari and said Pakistan and the US had many shared interests, such as fighting terrorism and supporting regional stability, including a peaceful future for Afghanistan.
