The soldiers were killed as a result of roadside bombings and insurgent attacks in Kandahar, Farah and Herat province, a statement from the ministry said.
Another two soldiers were injured and their condition is stated to be stable. Separately, two Taliban — Charik and Haji Mama — were detained in the Ghorak district of Kandahar.
