Nearly 600 kg of opium seized in Nimroz

ZARANJ (PAN): Nearly 600 kilograms of drugs were seized in the Chakhansor district of southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Thursday.

While 590 kilograms of opium was recovered from a Corolla car, another vehicle caught fire in an attempt to escape, the provincial police chief said.

Maj. Gen. Mohammad Kabir Andrabi told Pajhwok Afghan News the drug traffickers managed to escape, but security forces were looking for them.
