PUL-I-KHUMRI (PAN): A young boy killed three family members and injured five others in the Fring district of northern Baghlan province, officials said on Monday.
Rahmatullah stabbed to death his uncle, cousin and a child and injured five others, including his parents and a sister, on Sunday night, the district chief, Mohibullah Muhaqiq, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The killer has been arrested. Provincial council member, Khalil Anwari, said the boy used a knife and a shot gun for killing his relatives. The injured were shifted in critical condition to a hospital in Nahrin district.
With the motive yet to be ascertained, initial reports revealed the killer was suffering some mental problem, said the deputy police chief, Col. Sadiq Muradi.
