<p>PUL-I-ALAM (<a href="/en/pan" class="glossify-link">PAN</a>, Mark Bowden, on Wednesday arrived in central Logar province by road to inspect ongoing development programmes and discuss with local officials efforts at good governance.</p>

<p>Bowden told a press conference in Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital, that the ongoing <a href="/en/reconstruction" class="glossify-link">reconstruction</a> activities showed life has improved and become somehow peaceful in Logar.</p>
<p>He noted that people's cooperation with the government had increased as a result of good coordination between military and civil departments.</p>
<p>“I have talked to central government officials on funds to provinces, and hopefully they would release them to provincial authorities,” he said.</p>
<p>Logar Governor Mohammad Iqbal Azizi said his administration had been attentive to people's demands and cooperative in dealing with their routine activities.</p>
<p>He said governance had improved in Logar, thanks to the cooperation of the central government.</p>
