KABUL and as many men were killed during separate incidents of violence in Paktia, Khost and Badghis provinces, officials said on Tuesday.
Two women were killed when a rocket allegedly fired by insurgents hit a house in Sabari district of southeastern Khost on Monday evening, 203rd Thunder Military Corps spokesman Cap. Abdullah said.
Separately, two children were killed and as many wounded in a bomb explosion that rocked the bazaar in Zurmat district, he said. The injured children who were taken to a nearby hospital are said to be in stable condition, the captain said.
In Badghis, unidentified gunmen shot dead two civilians on a motorbike en route to Maqur district from Bala Murghab, police chief Brig. Gen. Sharafuddin Sharaf said.
