TIRINKOT (PAN): Poppy crops grown over up to 1,627 acres of land were eradicated during an anti-poppy campaign in central Uruzgan province, an official said on Thursday.
The campaign that started two weeks ago in Tirinkot was extended to three nearby districts, police spokesman Farid Aail told Pajhwok Afghan News.
“We will extend the drive in other districts and will not allow anyone to harvest the crop,” he said.
