6 militants killed, 5 IEDs cleared

KABUL, the US military said on Wednesday.

The militants were killed by Afghan forces during operations in the Gilan district of Ghazni province over the past 24 hours, the military said in a statement from the Bagram Airbase.

According to the statements, the IEDs were cleared in Ghazni, Khost, Paktika and Paktika provinces. During the operations, Afghan forces detained five suspected insurgents.
