KABUL campaign on Facebook, stoutly supporting local security forces.
The skirmish in the Konsri area of Goshta district in eastern Nangarhar province was touched off by a Pakistani attack on an Afghan border post, prompting a strong response from the national forces lasted for seven hours.
In their posts, many Facebook users lioniesd Afghan forces and denounced the Pakistani soldiers. Saifullah Maftoon wrote on his wall the Afghan soldiers should respond in a way to make an example of the aggressors.
In a separate post, poet Noman Dost told militants: “Fighting against the government, you kill a number of Afghans on a daily basis. Your reason is that you are fighting against invaders. You think the killing of civilians is no serious issue.”
“Invaders are also active in Goshta district, seizing Afghan territory. You insist your campaign is aimed to liberate the country. If you ignore this issue, we will call you allies of invaders and will hate you as much as we hate them,” he wrote.
Abdul Jabbar, another Facebook user, said Afghanistan was moving toward stability with the revival of patriotism among the Afghans. Several years ago, Pakistan kept opened the border, perceiving Afghanistan as one of its provinces, he added.
