BAMIAN/POL-I-KHUMRI (PAN attacked two police posts on Bamian-Baghlan border, an official said on Thursday.
On Wednesday in the afternoon a group of Taliban with their leader Mullah Abdul Qayom attacked numbers of policemen they were on their way to the post in result one police were killed and two others wounded, Bamian’s police chief Col Muhammad Ali Lakzai told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He added “Taliban are not active in Bamian, but sometimes Taliban create us problems from other side of border of the province from Baghlan”, saying they are not responsible to operate in Baghlan province, so security forces of the concerned province should clear their areas from Taliban.
He said they mentioned the problem with security officials of Baghlan, but Faiz Muhammad Amiri district chief of Tala Wa Barfac district of Baghlan province said the Taliban come from mountainous areas and attack only Bamian-Baghlan borders’ security posts.
Taliban also assaulted on a police post in Tala Wa Barfac district wounded a sergeant.
Taliban did not claim for the responsibility of the incidents.
