GHAZNI (PAN): Seven insurgents were killed and 8 others detained during an operation in Deh-Yak district of southern Ghazni province, an official said.
Haji Fazl Ahmad district chief of Deh-Yak confirmed the incident and told Pajhwok Afghan News the three hours operation was launched by Special Forces on Wednesday evening and there were no casualties for civilians.
But residents of the area said that airstrikes were also bombarding during the operation which four insurgents were killed.
“All the arrested people were civilians and no one has connection with the insurgents”, Mir Ahmad a resident said, adding there were both Afghan and foreign force in the operation which were breaking into civilian houses and taking innocent people with themselves.
Majidullah another resident has the same claim and added Afghan and foreign forces fire people gates by rockets and arrested 10 innocent people of their village.
But the district chief rejects peoples’ complaints and said all the killed and arrested are Taliban militants.
Taliban and foreign forces did not comment about the incident yet.
