KABUL (PAN): A well-coordinated Taliban attack that killed 10 people, including six attackers, and wounded 14 others drew strong condemnation on Saturday from the US, the UN and NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan.
UN’s Secretary General Ban Ki-moon strongly condemned the terrorist attack on compound of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
“He (Ban) notes that Afghan security forces have been responding to the attack, for which the Taliban have claimed responsibility,” said a statement attributable to his spokesperson.
He said Ban greatly regretted the casualties to Afghans and to international aid workers caught in the attack, the statement said, adding that the Secretary General extended his heartfelt sympathies to those injured.
