The death was announced in a brief statement from the NATO-led force that neither gave the soldier’s nationality nor the exact location of the blast. However, mostly US troops are stationed in the east.
With the latest fatality, the number of foreign troops killed in Afghanistan so far during the current year has increased to 67. Last year, ISAF lost 402 service members in the country.
