KANDAHAR CITY (PAN have decapitated two boys in the Zherai district of southern Kandahar province, local authorities said on Monday, but insurgents spurned the claim as baseless.
A statement from the governor’s house said the victims, hailing from Nada area, had been seized by the militants a day earlier. The boys, scavenging garbage in the locality, were aged 10 and 16.
On the other hand, Taliban’s spokesman Qari Yousaf Ahmadi not only denied the beheadings but also vehemently denounced the incident.
In western Farah province, six guerrillas were killed in a joint security operation in Bala Baluk district. The governor’s spokesman Abdur Rahman Rahman said the security forces had seized two machine guns, as many Kalashnikovs, seven rockets with two launchers.
