Operations in east leave 6 militants dead

KABUL over the past 24 hours, the US military said on Friday.

Afghan and coalition forces killed one fighters during in the Dawlat Shah district of Laghman province, where an IED was defused in Mehtarlam, the provincial capital, a statement from the Bagram airbase said.
Three militants enemies were killed in the Janikhel district of Khost province and two others in the Dimardad town of Maidan Wardak, the statement added.
