Mostly American forces are stationed in eastern Afghanistan and they have borne the brunt of casualties in the war against insurgents.
According to iCasualties.org that tracks coalition deaths, 94 foreign troops, including 71 US service members, have been killed in Afghanistan so far during the current year.
