KANDAHAR CITY (PAN insurgents were killed in an airstrike and two bombings in the southern province of Kandahar, the governor’s office said on Tuesday.
Four fighters wanted to perform disruptive activities in the Mandi area of Mianshin district on Monday evening when they were struck by NATO-led forces.
A statement from the governor’s office said weapons and ammunition were recovered by security personnel as a result of the raid.
Separately, six militants were killed and three others wounded by their own explosives in Panjwai and Zherai districts, the statement added.
