KABUL): Two civilians were wounded in a car bombing in the Mir Bachakot district of Kabul province on Friday, an official said

Kabul criminal investigation chief in Gen. Mohammad Zahir told Pajhwok Afghan News that the explosion took place around 10am.
He said the driver of the Corolla-type car, while passing through the area, was signalled to stop but he sped away in disregard of police signals.
While police chased it, the vehicle was detonated at a security checkpoint, the official added. It remained unclear whether the car was packed with explosives or the driver was wearing a suicide vest.
Based on preliminary information, the bomber was killed and two civilians were wounded in the incident, Gen. Zahir said.
